Nadja Petrov

Nadja Petrov begins her work spontaneously, usually in reaction to the materials she is working with. What evolves from there is more calculated, becoming a succession of thought out responses which can include a variety of emotions and subject matter. Recurring themes include time, movement, sexuality and interpersonal relationships.
Growing up in an artist’s household , Nadja studied mainly with her father, well known Dada-Surrealist Dimitri Petrov, and her mentor, Ernest Frazier. Nadja has shown extensively throughout the United States.
